As the new consultant curator to Canary Wharf, I would like to introduce myself and share my process, my thinking and the narrative behind the choice of artists and subject matter of the exhibitions to be hosted in the Lobby of 1 Canada Square and the environs of Canary Wharf. I am looking forward to commissioning and exhibiting art that elicits wonder, challenges and probes, and attracts and engages the viewer, that is also appropriate in scale and appropriate to the setting.

My aim is to ensure that the works of art are accessible to the widest possible audience through a range of interpretive materials; QR codes that connect the viewer with descriptive explanations online talks and images of artists working and offering mediums which inform and explain. I am sourcing work that plays to the architectural surroundings, allowing exploration and facilitating the communication of the ethos of Canary Wharf; diversity, equal opportunity linking with the community and drawing the working occupants of Canary Wharf with a renewed interest in the space.
